About Our Founder, Lorne W. Curl
Mr. Curl is a practicing Catholic, a man of faith who attempts to use the gifts God has given him for the benefit of others. He is a natural trainer and a gifted speaker.
Mr. Curl has been happily married for almost 30 years and is a father of 4 children, two girls and two boys.
Sheepdog Security Ministry is an expression of his concern for those who are “Unprepared” for the rising tide of violence in the world around them and is a response to what he sees as a rising trend toward physical violence against the Christian community, specifically and the world as a whole. It is his belief that more people need to be prepared to step up and defend themselves and others against the evils in this world. Especially the young adults, who are 85% likely to experience a violent event in their lifetime.

Sheepdog Security Ministry was founded as a response to the fact that Christians are undergoing a unique period of persecution in modern history. The news is filled with stories of Christians under attack in one way shape or form. Now more than any other time in American history, Christian men and women need to Pray for the safety of the Christian Community. Then, in a spirit of grace and surrender, Prepare for the eventuality that they may be called to Protect either themselves, or others.
It is our hope to provide tools and training for all Christian individuals; men, women and entire communities, to bring back a spirit of preparedness and informed grace in the face of any form of physical persecution. We will train men, women, church and school communities alike to be ready when the wolf comes knocking at their door or the doors of their loved ones.
Recent events make it clear that preparation is prudent. One day, we may all be called upon to become Sheepdogs, even just for a few moments. On that day, we should report to the Shepherd that His sheep have been protected and that the wolf was held at bay.
Personal security, home security, school security and church security are all our responsibility. Prepare well. Develop courage, foster calm and cool thinking. Know your plan. Be Vigilant. Now, more than ever, the Shepherd needs His Sheepdogs.

Who We Are
Mark 3:27 "But no one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house."
We are the strong men, We do not have the option to do nothing.
We DO advocate preparedness. strengthening our minds, preparing our bodies and steeling our convictions is a part of our Christian moral imperative. There are many ways to fight evil. Too often, we ignore that actual fight in favor of the spiritual one. When evil decides lay a hand on your loved ones, your hands should respond swiftly, confidently and with assurance of righteousness.
Sheep, Wolves and Sheepdogs
William J. Bennett, in a lecture to the United States Naval Academy November 24, 1997 said
"Most of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle, productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident. We may well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still remarkably rare. This is because most citizens are kind, decent people, not capable of hurting each other except by accident or under extreme provocation. They are sheep.
Then there are the wolves who feed on the sheep without mercy. Do you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.
Then there are sheepdogs and I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and confront the wolf.
Who We Are Not
(An excerpt from an internal communication from our founder)
"We are NOT advocates of pre-emptive aggression. We do not “Hunt down” the enemy, we do not seek out violence and do not proactively use any of our training to identify and destroy our attackers before they present themselves as attackers. (This excludes situational awareness.) This means no posts or conversations about “Open Season” on terrorists, or overtly aggressive behavior without it being in direct response to violence presented in a moment.
We are not Vigilantes. We will always seek the peaceful solution to a threat but are prepared to do what is necessary but ONLY when it becomes necessary.
