Psalm 94:16 "Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers?"
At Sheepdog Security Ministry, we provide services to the Christian Community to assist them in preparing to resist violence in their communities. Whether it be in their churches, their schools or in their daily life, Christian communities need a resource to train them, help them plan for and respond to the violence that is welling up in the world against them. We want all Christians to live without fear; To have the answer to the question swimming around in every Christian's heart; "What would I do?" If you want to prepare your school, your church or your family to prevent, detect and respond to violence, we can help.

Who We Are Not

Proverbs 20:22 Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you.

(An excerpt from an internal communication from our founder)

"We are NOT advocates of pre-emptive aggression. We do not “Hunt down” the enemy, we do not seek out violence and do not proactively use any of our training to identify and destroy our attackers before they present themselves as attackers. (This excludes situational awareness.) This means no posts or conversations about “Open Season” on terrorists, or overtly aggressive behavior without it being in direct response to violence presented in a moment.

We are not Vigilantes. We will always seek the peaceful solution to a threat but are prepared to do what is necessary but ONLY when it becomes necessary.

"We are NOT anti-Muslim or anti-anything. We are Pro-"living". 'We see violence against a life as Evil. We give it no other name. If we name an organization like ISIS, we use it as an example, not as an identified target. We are required to forgive right up until a person removes that as an option. Violence against an unaware and unsuspecting victim is Evil. That is all we call it. We are prepared to respond to violence or evil, not to ISIS or to Al Qaida, etc. Because God allows right to the last minute of existence to repent, so do we respect the individuals who are those evil doers until such time as we are forced to deal with them.

That is who we ARE. We are Christians.

"We are not gun advocates. We are not against them but we are not NRA gun toters. Guns are very dangerous tools and should only be in the hands of qualified responsible citizens. So things that seem to advocate guns as self defense outside of a specific scenario are not appropriate for us to promote. We are FOR defending yourself with a gun and can post interesting articles about how a responsible gun owner used one to defend him/her self but we do not advocate for guns in general. This applies to all weaponry. The use of a weapon in defense is commendable. The simple having of a weapon is not to be celebrated without its purpose being clear.

"What we DO advocate with regard to weapons is first to BE a weapon. Our body is our first and most available weapon. We will train on the use of weapons but you will not ever hear me encourage any person to carry a large knife, get a gun permit or have a backup gun, etc. Nor will I discourage it. What I WILL say is, if you are going to have one, here is how to use it and I will attempt to train them to be responsible. But I will also train deeply in what can go wrong without being trained. So, this means we are not weapons nuts either. The exception to this rule will be weapons that do not present as weapons and that would be difficult to use against us if they are taken from us, like a Kuboton (Kubaton) or a force multiplying device.

"An additional point of clarity regarding weapons- YOU are the weapon. Until you train to be the weapon, you should not carry additional tools. When you are the weapon, a knife or a gun or a club simply becomes a tool. When one believes that carrying a tool and calling it a weapon will allow them superiority over their adversay, they are setting themselves up for failure. The gun cannot save you. In fact it can get you killed. Having a weapon without being one is very dangerous. So, YOU are the weapon, what we traditionally think of as weapons now become tools to be used by the weapon.

"We do not revel in victory. The death of a human being is not worthy of celebration. Enemy or not. When we hear of a death, we mourn the loss of a soul."

"And He said to them, 'When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?' So they said, 'Nothing.' 36 Then He said to them, 'But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one...' So they said, 'Lord, look, here are two swords.' And He said to them, 'It is enough.' 39 Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him."
